Farm Stay Program
at the Allegheny Farm
Stay in the cozy Lodge atop Allegheny Mountain in beautiful Highland County, VA. Relax in a private room, sit on the porch, and gaze at the stars. Then, enjoy a farm fresh breakfast with refreshing spring water before exploring the lush gardens tended by Fellows at the Allegheny Mountain Institute.
Stay in The Lodge
AMI's farm includes a spacious Lodge and Fellow cabins, lush gardens and botanically-rich fields and forests. Chickens, cows, and bees are on the Farm below the Lodge. Guests are invited to stay in upstairs of the Lodge, which include four guest bedrooms and two private bathrooms.
Explore the farm
Guests are encouraged to enjoy the magical vistas, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, outrageous night skies, and rich flora and fauna display at the Allegheny Farm. Guests may participate in select full-day workshops with the Fellows on Wednesdays or farm tours for an additional fee.
Enjoy farm-fresh meals
A continental breakfast featuring homemade staples is provided for all guests. Weekday guests are also invited to participate in family-style lunch and dinner meals featuring farm grown produce with the Fellows at no additional fee.
